What is the Msgr. Allen Trust and Development Fund?

The Msgr. Allen Trust and Development Fund was established to support the philosophy and financial stability of Our Lady of the Holy Souls School. It is a joint ministry of the Church and School.

Why should I give to the Fund?

The Msgr. Allen Trust Fund will ensure the continuation of Our Lady of the Holy Souls School for future generations to come.

Who should give to the Fund?

While the financial responsibility for a Christian education rests primarily with the parents, the provision of this education is the responsibility of all parishioners. The spiritual, intellectual and physical education of our young parishioners must be a priority in the midst of the many ministries supported by the parish. The entire parish shares the financial responsibility to subsidize the operation and building costs of the school We are all stakeholders in the futures of these students and Our Lady of the Holy Souls School.

How are the Msgr. Allen Trust Funds Used?

The primary purpose of the Trust Fund is to secure the financial future of Holy Souls School.  Any person can request money from the fund for a school project by applying for a grant. Grants are given to only those projects that benefit the greatest number of students in the school.

Funds have been used for the school computer lab and for a tuition assistance program to encourage teachers to seek a masters degree. Money donated to the Trust Fund may also be directed to a specific need in the school. Items on the official school "Wish List" are often selected by donors. "Wish List" items include Spanish and reading books, computers for the teachers, and musical instruments.
